Yes... I know... it's FINALLY done. The Romita Jr. Spider-Man pencils have been inked and... well... I sort of like how they turned out. My inks are normally a lot more sharp and clean and cartoony slick. This was a great challenge. Hope you all like it. :-D
It always amazes me that people still come across that old youtube inking video. lol. I'm really glad it was able to be of help and offer some inspiration. And thanks for the watch and the fav!
like the work on the hair very fluid and brushie. but i gotta wonder is the spidey in costume pic intended to be transparent or a solid figure color? cuz i can see lines in his body of the background buildings.
Thanks! I had a lot of fun with the hair. Lots of experimenting went on in this piece. As for Spidey, he's suppose to be transparent, but I think I should have tried a really light dry brush to help with the effect. If it was going to a colorist, I might have felt better about the more solid holding line since they can make that into a color hold and do some cool things that that, but as it is, I wasn't to pleased with that area in retrospect. Oh well. Always next time.
hey well if its meant to be transparent, the lines hold well. if u ever got anything needs coloring drop me a line always looking for new people to work with and new different styles to color.
Thanks. And you're welcome to color anything in my gallery. I haven't inked a page in what seems like eons, so the next time you see anything new could be a while (unless it's my Robo Bug character).
